Photo Frenzy

The entire Kingston summer study abroad program ventured into the city today. We were on a photo scavenger hunt that led us on the important trains to major land marks throughout London. Here are just a few of our stops.
Our first major destination was Buckingham Palace. We walked through the Tour de France fan park festival to get there, where they gave us these green balloons. After we took our group picture with them, Brett collected all of our balloons and handed them out to children nearby.

We stopped in the park on our way back through for lunch. It was our first taste of the rainy London weather everyone warned us about.
And our first fish and chips.

Big Ben wasn't one of our stops, but it was on the way to the London Eye. We stopped at a Tesco corner shop for water then sat in a park to rest, hydrate, and smell the lavender.

We also took pictures at the Tower of London and Tower Bridge before we headed to Penderel's Oak Pub for burgers and drinks provided by Kingston. I had a Thatcher's cider because it was the only thing I trusted on tap. After a long day of sight-seeing out in the sun, we decided to head back to Seething Wells to catch up on sleep.
