We visited Hampton Court Palace for our first field trip for our British Culture and Society class. Our whole class took a river boat along the Thames to get to the palace, just like Henry VIII would have. We learned all about the Cardinal Woolsey's intensions in building the palace, as well as several of its tenants. Our tour guide, Irene, told us about the Tudors. One of my favorite parts of the tour was seeing the many kitchens and the different ways they made food.
